TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to The Real Ruler Height Chart Company. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, www.realrulerco.com, and any purchase you make from us.

1. DEFINITIONS

"Company," "we," "us," and "our" refers to The Real Ruler Height Chart Company (The Real Ruler Co).
"You" and "your" refers to the customer or visitor interacting with our website, emails, or events.

2. THE CONTRACT

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase a product.

Binding Agreement: A legally binding contract between you and The Real Ruler Height Chart Company is only formed once your order has been dispatched.
Order Confirmation: Any automated confirmation email sent after an order is placed does not signify our acceptance of your order.
Right to Decline: We reserve the right to reject any order at our discretion (e.g., due to stock unavailability, pricing errors, or payment authorization issues).

3. PRICING AND PAYMENT

Payment Methods: We process payments via PayPal. We do not store your credit card or banking details on our servers.
Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, we are not responsible for pricing errors or incorrect product descriptions.
Cheques: If paying by cheque, orders will not be processed until the funds have cleared. If an item sells out during the clearing period, we will reissue a cheque for the full amount.

4. DELIVERY AND INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Shipping Costs: UK delivery is calculated at checkout. For International Delivery, please contact info@realrulerco.com for a quote.
Volumetric Weight: We reserve the right to request additional funds if the final volumetric weight of an international parcel exceeds the initial quote.
Inspection: Please check all items upon receipt. Damaged items must be reported within 7 working days.

5. CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS

Standard Items: Under current consumer regulations, you have 30 days from receipt to return non-personalised items for a refund or exchange, provided they are in "as new" condition.
Personalised/Bespoke Items: Items made to order or hand-engraved cannot be cancelled or returned once production has begun, unless they are faulty or damaged in transit.
Return Costs: Unless the item is faulty, you are responsible for return postage costs.

6. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY (USE & SAFETY)

Once received, it is your responsibility to:

Ensure the product is hung or stored safely using correct hardware for your specific wall type.
Secure the base of the ruler in high-traffic areas to prevent swinging.
Supervise children at all times when they are using the height chart.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & IMAGES

Copyright: All designs, logos, photography, and website content are the exclusive property of The Real Ruler Height Chart Company. Reproduction without permission is strictly prohibited.
Promotion: We reserve the right to photograph and use images of any items we create (including personalized orders) for promotional purposes online or in print.

8. PRIVACY AND SECURITY

Data Use: We use your information lawfully and in accordance with data protection laws. Your details are used solely for order processing and will not be shared with third parties.
Online Security: While we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee the security of data disclosed online unless a breach is due to our direct negligence.
